THERAPY 4 HANDS specialises in treating the hand and upper limb.  We provide quality care in hand rehabilitation of all hand conditions and injuries. Our clinic was established in 1998 (when it was known as South West Hand Therapy) and is located at the Library Plaza, in Liverpool. We  extended our service to the Sydney CBD on Goulburn Street in 2011. (Opposite to the World Square. Please see 'Location & Contact' for more information.)

Certified Hand Therapist

A Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is an occupational therapist or physiotherapist who has a minimum of five years of clinical experience, including 4,000 hours or more in direct practice in hand therapy. In addition, the Certified Hand Therapist has successfully passed a comprehensive test of advanced clinical skills and theory in upper quarter rehabilitation. Because of continuous changes in Hand Therapy with new research, every CHT is required to demonstrate continued professional development and competency by recertifying every five years.

What are Hand Therapists?

Hand Therapists are registered Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists who, through further education, clinical experience and independent study have become proficient in the treatment of upper limb conditions resulting from injury, disease or deformity.

We provide one-on-one treatment to develop individual therapy programme to best address each patient's medical situation. We design a specific treatment programme for each patient following thorough assessment of the hand.
